Meet Oscar García, Account Executive for Mexico!
SRSI is happy to announce the onboarding of Oscar García, the new Account Executive for SRSI Mexico! Originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, he started working in the logistics and supply chain industry 27 years ago. He studied International Business at the Escuela de Tráfico y Trámites Aduanales, and he is working towards a degree in Social Psychology at the Universidad Antropológica.
His Journey in Logistics
Oscar’s first job was at a 3PL company, and he loved everything about logistics. When he first started working, he enjoyed learning about national and international transportation. As years went by, he became an expert at what he did and got the title of Commercial Account Manager.
Future for the MH Industry
He sees material handling as an industry that will keep growing. “It is all about automation, time and cost savings, and continuous improvement. Those companies that cannot keep up with the market pace and the emerging needs of the customers will not survive. Modern technologies that fulfill the consumer demands will be needed to support the volume growth,” Oscar stated when asked about where he sees the material handling industry in the future.
Oscar’s Goals with SRSI
With reference to his goals with his new role at SRSI, he wants to learn everything about the company to potentialize his commercial skills and develop his sales strategy in line with SRSI’s goals in the short term. In the long term, he seeks to positively impact the company’s growth.
He is eager to collaborate with a company that invests in the future, promotes diversity, and takes care of their collaborators. Also, being part of the success and growth of SRSI is very exciting for him.
Oscar: Outside of Work
During his spare time, Oscar likes doing outdoor activities, such as hiking, camping, mountain biking, trail running and going to the beach. Also, he is enthusiastic about cooking vegan recipes and finding restaurants that align with his lifestyle.
